  • facings

    The number of packages of an item on the front line of a store shelf; in frozen food, the number of full package fronts visible when the cabinet is fully stocked.

  • out of code

    A product with an expired code date.

  • cash register display

    A rack or other type of display designed to mount onto or sit near a cash register. It typically is used to merchandise high-impulse products like candy or cigarettes; also refers to a sign designed to mount onto the cash register.

  • returns (to warehouse)

    An authorization by the warehouse to return merchandise on a certain date indicated.

  • inbound

    The path customers follow as they enter a store and begin shopping. The term can also refer to the flow of products into a warehouse prior to order selection.
